It's time for another yummy recipe! It was cold, dark, and rainy all day in San Diego today. It was awesome! It's not very often that we have rainy days like today. A perfect day to have soup for dinner!
Creamy White Chili
1 lbs chicken breast cooked and diced
1/2 lg. onion diced
2 cans great northern beans drained and rinsed
1 (14oz) cans chicken broth
1 (4.5oz) can green chilies diced
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream or half & half
Combine chicken, onion, beans, broth, chilies, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30-35 minutes.
Stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Serve immediately.
This makes about 6 cups. 377 calories per cup (bread not included in calorie count and I used light sour cream)
I notice you had it in a bread bowl. :) It looks super yummy!
